Our foundational practice. Learn Vedic meditation.
The foundation for our offerings at Mahasoma is the personal practice of Vedic meditation, a simple, natural, and powerful technique that reconnects you with the rhythm of life. Taught in-person only over 4 consecutive sessions, it is the most easy and effortless technique anyone can learn. Through a daily practice, you become less stressed, more calm, and begin to tap into your natural state of creativity, clarity and happiness.
You can learn Vedic meditation from our Mahasoma co-founders or any of our affiliated teachers.

The benefits of a daily practice.
Some people feel the benefits immediately. For others it may take some time to notice and integrate. The best part is, you will receive benefits whether you are aware of them or not. Meditation is a practice, not a belief system. When you meditate, you create the space for transformation to occur from the inside out. The benefits are also cumulative, so the longer you practice consistently, the more you receive.
This is why we’re meditating - not to become better at meditation, but to enhance our experience of life.
The benefits our Vedic meditation students have experienced include:
Feeling calmer and clearer
Reduction in stress and associated conditions from that heightened stress
Greater self-awareness, self-confidence and self-love
Greater space within to navigate the ever-changing world
Better quality of sleep
More energy throughout the day
Less mind dominant and more heart dominant
Ability to let go, transform and adapt in every day life
Greater alertness, efficiency and productivity
Greater creativity and expression of one’s true self
Increased performance and recovery
Feeling happy for no reason & less dependence on others for happiness
Greater compassion and understanding
Deeper connection in relationships
Greater self-healing capacity
More flexible and adaptable in life
A practice that evolves with you.
After you learn Vedic meditation and are enjoying your daily practice, you can evolve through advanced offerings. Your Vedic meditation teacher will be able to take you through:
Vedic Rounding - a cyclical process of asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), and meditation. Designed to deepen your experience and heal the nervous system, rounding can be practiced daily or as/when you feel. Taught in-person via workshop format.
Advanced mantra - every 6-12 months of daily practice you can receive an advanced mantra and/or technique. This enables you to experience subtler states in your meditation and integrate this wisdom into your daily life. Taught in-person, 90min, via private or small group format.
Mentoring - many Vedic meditation teachers offer private mentoring, a powerful way to integrate your meditation practice deeper into daily life, alongside exploring the Vedic wisdom.
Retreats - attend a Vedic rounding retreat to deepen your experience and release lifetimes of stress from the body. Each teacher facilitates their own style of retreat, with many including rounding, Vedic wisdom sessions, community connection, and travel to spiritual places around the world.
